1. What is Vodacom Easy2Own?
Vodacom Easy2Own is a service provided by Vodacom South Africa which allows their customers to purchase smartphones through payments in installments, rather than paying the full price in advance. The Customer can pay for the device through purchasing Data Bundles over a maximum period of 24 months.
2. Who qualifies for an Easy2Own device?
Any Vodacom Prepaid customer qualifies for Easy2Own devices.
3. What do I need to carry to get an Easy2Own device at the stores?
To collect an Easy2Own phone, you should visit Authorized shops with only these two requirements:
- 1. A valid SA National ID/Greenbook
- 2. Deposit amount of the device that you wish to pick.
4. How do I pay for my Easy2Own devices?
You should pay for your Easy2Own device using the Easy2Own mobile App on a daily, weekly or monthly basis through purchase of Data Bundles from your Vodacom airtime.
5. Which data bundles can be purchased to pay for the Easy2Own phones?
- ▪ 1-Day Bundle – unlocks the phone for 1 day.
- ▪ 7-Days Bundle – unlocks the phone for 7 days
- ▪ 30-Days Bundle –unlocks the phone for 30 days
**Each Unlock Bundle will unlock the device for the specified period.
**Each Unlock bundle is disbursed on a daily basis and constitutes 100MB data and 10 Minutes per day.
6. Can I Purchase multiple unlock bundles in a day?
Yes, you can purchase as many Easy2Own bundles as you wish on the Easy2Own Mobile App.
7. Can I transfer data bundles to other numbers?
Yes, Data transfer will apply, whereby you have the ability to transfer the bundle to other Vodacom customers.
8. How much data and Voice bundles do I get when they buy the Daily/Weekly/Monthly unlock bundles?
Allocation of the Data and Voice bundle will happen daily in accordance with the Unlock Bundle purchased i.e. Daily Unlock Bundle will have 1 allocation of 100MB and 10Minutes; 7 Day Unlock Bundle will have 1 allocation of 100MB and 10Minutes everyday over 7 days; 30 Day Unlock Bundle will have 1 allocation of 100MB and 10Minutes everyday over 30 days.
9. Why has my device locked?
Your device will lock if you have not purchased Easy2Own unlock bundle in time to unlock the phone. You must always buy Easy2Own unlock bundle before the next due date to prevent your phone from locking. To unlock a device, you should buy the 1-day, 7-days or 30-days unlock bundles bundle using the Easy2Own mobile app.
10. How do I pay for my Easy2Own Phone?
To make payments, you should use the Easy2Own mobile app. You should log in to my Easy2Own mobile app, select BUY NOW and select the Easy2Own unlock bundle that you wish to buy and confirm purchase.
9. How do I know the balance that they should pay to finish paying for my device?
You should log in to the Easy2Own Mobile app to see the data bundles that you will need to purchase to finish paying off your phone. The Mobile app will display the number of days that the data bundles have been purchased and the total number of days remaining to buy data bundles in order to complete the purchase.
10. Do I need to have Data/WIFI to access the Easy2Own Mobile App?
The Easy2Own App is free of data cost. You will not be charged when you use Easy2Own App on my phone. To access the service, you need to TURN ON MOBILE DATA on your phone with a Vodacom sim card inside, or connect to WIFI or hotspot.
11. I cannot see information on my Easy2Own Mobile app, what should I do?
To properly use the Easy2Own Mobile app, you must ALWAYS turn on Mobile data on your phone while a Vodacom sim is inside the phone, or connect to WIFI, or hotspot.
12. I have forgotten my Easy2own app password, what should they do?
If you have forgotten your E2O app Password, go to the log in page on the Easy2Own app and click on Forgot PIN then reset your PIN.
13. Can I get more than one phone from Easy2Own service?
Every Easy2Own phone is tied to a customer’s National ID. You can only have one active Easy2Own phone under payment at any time. Upon completion of payment, you can then be issued with another Easy2Own phone.
14. What should I do if I lose my Easy2Own phone before completing payment?
If you lose your Easy2Own phone before completing payment, you should call Vodacom Customer support on 082135 IMMEDIATELY to have the phone blocked. You will be required to clear the outstanding balance associated.
15. What happens if the device that that I have bought is faulty?
In the event of out of box failure or needs to be repaired, existing Vodacom repairs terms and conditions apply.
16. Do the Easy2Own phones have a warranty?
Warranty applies to Easy2Own phones as per the Vodacom’s warranty policies.
